Bose Soundock Series 1 Modding
Bose Sounddock
Hi, I am looking to purchase a bose sounddock series 1 on eBay for use with my iPhone 4. Wanted to know if any is currently using one and if they are facing any problems. So you’ve had your Series 1 Bose SoundDock iPod speakers for a number of years–it still sounds great, and for being released in 2004, the design still manages to stand the test of time.
The Bose SoundDock provides portable playback and recharging for your iPod or iPhone. While the system was designed with the iPod in mind, you can also use the 'Aux' input to use the SoundDock with another MP3 player, computer or portable CD player.
Step 1
Turn the SoundDock around to locate the 'AUX' input on the back of the system.
Step 2
City of sacrifice. Insert one end of the 3.5mm stereo cable into the 'AUX' input.
Step 3
Connect the other side to the headphone jack on your CD player or other portable audio device.
Step 4
Turn on your MP3 player or other device and play a song. Set the volume on the device to maximum.
Press any button on the Bose SoundDock to turn on the system. Use the 'Volume' controls on the right side of the system to adjust to the desired listening level.
Tip
- You must remove your iPod from the SoundDock in order to use other devices with the system. The remote control will not be able to control the MP3 player in the same fashion. However, it will be able to adjust the volume and the power.
